Thanx to Lil' Ms Pinky!!

Wow!!! I'm so glad that Lil' Ms Pinky save my day by providing me the link to the answer of my son's question in my post Cold Monday. I never thought my son is kinda advance in his thinking. Hehehe..ya lah 4 years old only mah..and he can question us the parents..why this and why that. I don't remember myself asking my dad about this kind of thing last time. Maybe i stupid a bit lah, thats why never curious on why thing is like this, instead of that!!
So here is the Q&A i copy from yahoo..(the question exactly the same asked by son)..

I hope i'm able to use this explanation to make son understand why we use thirteen instead of 'threeteen' and 'fifteen' instead of 'fiveteen'.

LOL! Good explanation! I think I'm going to print this and if my kids ever ask me this question one day, I'll just shove the paper to them and say 'nah, you pergi baca ini!' LOL!

Yup...i have to say that the explanation is quite hard to explain to a 4 years old.

But, if i remember clearly (in class and when dealing with my nephew and niece), if you can explain it in very simple words/sentences, showing confidence in the way you explain it, most kids will agree and stop asking the whys until they get to an age where they can recall back the explanation, found that they actually did not understand it (or part of it)...and start to ask again.

Anyways, that's a good info for us too. I myself didn't know that. Seriously!

i agree mcm chegu ckp, if yo answer confidently, they will believe you hehehe.. anyway good info.. but mo explain to my kids like that... i also dont know how to simplify the explanations hehehehe. hav to email that nandadev and ask him a simpler version.. for kids
